Fun with twxRay
twXray takes a Twitter handle like barackobama and returns an analysis of the top tweets. Find it at twxray.knightlabprojects.com.
“The technology works best for average Twitter users who tweet about a range of topics,” Ryan Graff, Communications Manager at knightlab.northwestern.edu, said.
Beyond the novelty twxRay can be useful in developing word pictures of public figures and organizations.
“It might not get all the tweets quite right … but it can certainly pick out themes for most uers,” Graff admits. For example does @newsstandpromos tweet on magazine publishing or the magazine topics themselves?
At the very least it’s more fun than Googling yourself.
